Privacy Policy

NELLA Support ("we", "us") operates nellasupport.com, a technology platform for business registration, statutory filings and legal document automation in Ghana. This policy explains how we handle personal data, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana. By using the platform you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored as a secure hash), or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google.
• Registration and filing data: the information you enter in our questionnaires — including names, dates of birth, identification numbers (such as Ghana Card or passport numbers), residential and business addresses, shareholding details and beneficial ownership information — which is required by the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) and other public agencies to process your filings.
• Documents: files you upload (such as signed forms and identification) and documents we prepare or receive on your behalf (such as certificates).
• Payment data: payments are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your full card number or mobile money PIN; we store the payment reference, amount and status.
• Delivery data: if you request courier delivery, the recipient name, address and phone number needed to ship.
• Communications: messages you exchange with our team on the platform, contact-form submissions and emails.
• Usage data: basic analytics about how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type), collected via Google Analytics where enabled.

2. Why we collect it

We process personal data to: create and manage your account; prepare and submit your registrations and filings to the ORC and other agencies; generate legal documents you request; take payment and issue receipts; deliver documents you ask us to courier; send you service updates, reminders and receipts by email; respond to your enquiries; keep the platform secure and prevent fraud; and meet our own legal obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

• Public agencies: the ORC, Registrar-General's Department, Ghana Revenue Authority and similar bodies, as required to complete the services you order.
• Licensed partners: the Ghanaian legal practitioners and accredited agents who prepare and file on your behalf, only to the extent needed for your order.
• Service providers: Supabase (secure database and authentication hosting), Paystack (payments), Resend (transactional email), DHL Express (deliveries you request) and Google (analytics and optional sign-in). Each processes data only to provide its service.
• Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by Ghanaian law or a court order.

4. Where your data lives and how long we keep it

Your data is stored in secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure (currently hosted in the European Union), protected by encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls and row-level security — your documents and order details are visible only to you and the team members handling your order. We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as long as Ghanaian law requires (for example, tax and company-record retention periods). You can ask us to delete your account and any data we are not legally required to keep.

5. Your rights under Act 843

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete data we no longer need; object to certain processing; and complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana (dataprotection.org.gh). To exercise any of these rights, email info@nellasupport.com — we respond within 30 days. Most of your data can also be viewed and edited directly in your dashboard.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Where Google Analytics is enabled, it sets analytics cookies to help us understand how the site is used; the data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can block cookies in your browser without losing core functionality other than staying signed in.

7. Children

The platform is intended for adults conducting business. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Directors and shareholders named in filings must meet the age requirements of Ghanaian company law.

8. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email or a notice on the site.
